I'm often emailed and asked about my hair transplants and
scalp reduction so I decided to get some
of my before and after pictures so you can
see my results!!!!
Dr Mayer did a hair line lowering and contouring with micrografts and minigrafts to feminize my hairline and add fullness to my now amazing hairline as you know I have done allot of traveling and I'm often told by other hair transplant Drs and plastic surgeons how amazed they are with my results (I'm not because I know my Dr M is the BOM!!!!!)
And I'm very happy as well my goal is to be able to wear my hair back and if the wind blows my hair back I don't want to have that sinking feeling in my tummy that someone will see my hair line and think that something is going on
(Girls you know what I'm talking about wink lol)
These procedures have changed my life in such a positive way and I have no problem standing behind Dr M's work he has taken his time to look at my problem and asked me many questions to create a treatment plan that would have the best out come. His approach might be different to some other Dr's out there because he believes in taking his time and rather than putting in thousands of grafts at once he will take time to create natural growth pattern "look" for your hair line. Take a look at my before and after pictures you can see that there is a BIG difference!!! Also remember that Dr M has feminized the rest of my face with other surgeries but at this time we are looking ONLY at my hair line reduction and hair transplants but you can also see the final resuls from all the feminizing procedures done by him as well.
I KNOW!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! RIGHT!!!!!

Transplants: Micrografts
& Minigrafts
Hair Transplanting is the oldest technique of hair replacement surgery. Drs. Fleming and Mayer taught surgeons from all over the world how to do Grafts and Flaps. They were Co-Directors of the International Hair Replacement Surgery Courses for almost two decades. Initially large diameter grafts were used, which resulted in the obvious "picket fence" or "row of corn" appearance that we have all seen. The technique has been refined in recent years to achieve a much more natural result. By harvesting smaller grafts taken from a strip of hair-bearing scalp, minigrafts (3 to 4 hairs) or micrografts (1 to 2 hairs) are harvested. Density is compromised with these smaller grafts, but a natural thinning look can be achieved without the rows of corn appearance.
Some suggest that follicular unit grafts are not minigrafts or micrografts. The yield from follicular unit grafts is better than previous hair transplant techniques, but this is simply a refinement of minigrafts and micrografts. All physicians, including ourselves, who do grafts, agree that the follicular unit technique is state-of-the-art in transplants today. However, without careful styling the normal result is a thin appearance (see photos below).
Scalp Reduction
Scalp Reductions are an important adjunctive procedure when doing hair replacement surgery. With Scalp Reductions, surgeons surgically remove parts of the bald or thinning skin, and then stretch the surrounding thicker, hair-bearing scalp to close the defect in the area from which the bald skin was removed. With the Flap procedure, reductions are done between the Flaps and behind the second Flap, to maximize the coverage of the Flap procedure. The baldness is always removed between the two Flaps. Sometimes, with more extensive baldness, there is residual baldness within the vertex, or crown, behind the second Flap. Other individuals will choose to have Reductions behind the second Flap, and eliminate more or all of their baldness.
